Birra Moretti sought to launch the Sale di Mare beer tower with a distinctive mosaic tile look, while retaining the iconic shape of the original font to preserve brand continuity. With only a limited set of artwork and a complex surface structure, aligning a seamless tile pattern onto the curved tower presented a major engineering and design challenge.

The Solution: Engineering Innovation Brings Mosaic Concept to Life

To achieve the intricate tile effect, the engineering team inverted the detailed mosaic pattern in CAD, redesigning the surface to feature debossed tiles and embossed grout. This allowed robotic ink injection into each tile recess, ensuring precision and authenticity. We used a rotational process to control ink drying times and successfully delivered the project within a compressed timeline.

The final Sale di Mare beer tower delivered an elegant, tactile mosaic effect with high durability and striking visual impact. The '3-flow' brand visual transforms into a three-dimensional sculptural element, strategically designed to appear suspended above a bubbling seltzer chamber. The design leverages a distinctive push-button dispense activation mechanism, intentionally setting the hard seltzer tower apart from traditional beer tower configurations.
